Volevo condividere con voi qualche consiglio e suggerimento per un weekend a Verona.
Come avrete letto nel post precedente, ho avuto la fortuna di aver passato un paio di giorni nella città dell'Arena e se anche voi ne avrete l'occasione ecco qual'è stato il mio itinerario.
STAY
Due edifici contigui che costituiscono un unica struttura ricettiva.
Albergo senza pretese ma accogliente e soprattutto efficente ed organizzato.
Se siete in città per l'Opera, l'hotel è collegato con un servizio di navetta gratuito.
Vicino alla stazione e quindi raggiungibile a piedi oppure in auto perché in prossimità di uno svincolo autostradale, è localizzato in una strada secondaria tranquilla e silenziosa, a venti minuti di camminata dal centro.
EAT
Per un pranzo veloce in pieno centro senza incappare nei prezzi
gonfiati dei menù da turisti.
Pranzo per due con un primo, una ceasar's salad, acqua e caffè 23€
Servizio veloce e tavolo all'aperto in piazza Brà davanti all'Arena
SEE
Castelvecchio, il castello costruito dagli Scaligeri ed affacciato sull'Adige. Suggestivo ed interessante, soprattutto se la giornata è soleggiata, ospita inoltre il museo Civico.
Piazza dell'Erbe dove si trova la Torre dei Lamberti, sulla quale è possibile salire per ammirare la città dall'alto ed un mercatino di souvenir.
Piazza dei Signori e la chiesa di Santa Maria Antica con le Arche Scaligere.
Infine la famosa casa di Giulietta con l'annesso museo.
SHOPPING
Via Mazzini è l'arteria principale dello shopping cittadino insieme alla traversa via Cappello. Qui vi si trovano boutique d'alta moda (Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Tod's) e bellissimi negozi di scarpe, pelletteria ed abbigliamento di grande qualità ma a prezzi più accessibili.
In via Roma consiglio il negozio di scarpe Ferrari al n. 30: moltissimi modelli di scarpe Made in Italy ad un prezzo conveniente.

STAY
Hotel Martini e Piccolo
Two adjoining buildings which constitues one hotel.
Hotel is unpretentious but comfortable and above all efficient and organized.
If you are in town for the Opera, the hotel is connected to the city centre with a free shuttle service.
Close to the station it can be reached on foot or by car as it is close to a motorway, although located in a quiet side street, a twenty minute walk from the city center.
EAT
Brek
For a quick lunch downtown without running into menus inflated by tourists prices.
Lunch for two with a first course, a ceasar's salad, water and coffee € 23
Fast service and outdoor table in front of the Arena in Piazza Bra.
SEE
Castelvecchio, the castle built by the Scaligeri family, overlooking the river Adige. Evocative and interesting, especially if the day is sunny, also houses the town museum.
Piazza delle Erbe where the Lamberti Tower is, on which you can climb on to admire the city.
Piazza dei Signori and the church of Santa Maria Antica with the Scaligeri graves.
Finally, the famous Juliet's house and the adjacent museum.
SHOPPING
Via Mazzini is the main shopping street along with Via Cappello. Here you will find high-end boutiques (Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Tod's) and beautiful shoes, leather goods and clothing of high quality shops still affordable.
In Via Roma (n.30) I recommend the shoes shop Ferrari : lots of models of shoes made in Italy at an affordable price.
